La Mélodie acide is among the most poetic creations of Joan Miró, made in collaboration with the French surrealist writer Patrick Waldberg. Published in Paris in 1980 by Galerie Lucie Weill / Au Pont des Arts, the project brought together a series of fourteen lithographs and Waldberg’s lyrical text, forming a vibrant dialogue between image and word.

Printed by La Polígrafa, Barcelona, and Fequet et Baudier, Paris, each lithograph captures Miró’s sense of rhythm and imagination. The title, La Mélodie acide, evokes both energy and clarity — a vivid harmony between colour, form, and poetic movement.

Each composition reflects the tempo of Waldberg’s verses through bright tones and organic shapes that feel spontaneous and musical.
